1. What does Tipwize provide for their customers?
   Tipwize is a online video streaming service company similar to YouTube that allows businesses, corporations and institutions to view and share promotional and informational videos that have been uploaded by our members.
    
2. How much does it cost to get started streaming videos for my business?
   You can get started absolutely free! Just sign up, create an "free trial" account, and you're ready to broadcast. You can sign up and view our packages here.
    
3. What system requirements are needed to watch videos on Tipwize?
   In order to watch videos on our site, make sure you have access to the following system requirements:
   • Macromedia Flash Player 7.0+ plug-in (Flash v9 preferred) 
   • Windows 2000, XP or Vista or higher with latest updates installed
   • Mac OS X 10.3 or higher; all versions of Linux or Unix 
   • Firefox 1.1+, Internet Explorer 5.0+, or Safari 1.0+, Netscape 7+
   • Broadband (high speed) internet connection with 400+ Kbps
      
4. Does Tipwize offer customers telephone support?
   We don't currently offer phone-based technical support. You will be able to find answers to most of your questions here in our Help Center where you can send us an email.
    
5. How do I get my video "featured" on the front page of Tipwize?
   The Tipwize database automatically adds new videos to the list of recently uploaded videos for consideration in the "Featured Videos" section of the home page and the featured videos on the "Categories" page. In addition, customers can pay an additional monthly fee to have their sales video on the front page on a rotating basis.
    
6. What does my business need to have Tipwize to host my videos?
   Basically, it allows you to use web streaming video technology to promote your business products and services by providing you with all the tools and business services you need in one place.
    
   Until now, streaming video on the Internet has always been costly for businesses that put it on their websites. This is because of something called "bandwidth". Most website hosting companies limit monthly bandwidth on your website so if lots of people view your video they will charge you more money.  
    
   Using Tipwize, you can put your promotional video on your business website and then "embed" it onto your home page. When customers view the video, the video streams from Tipwize and does not affect your own website bandwidth. You can also send emails to potential customers who will be able to visit your Tipwize web page to view your infomercial or promotional video.
    
7. What kind of advertising services are provided by Tipwize?
   In addition to video hosting services, we offer standard website hosting, web design services and graphic design services, and video production services to help you get your message out. Please contact our sales team for more information.

How to become a Tipwize Customer

1. What do I need to do to get started?
   To become a Tipwize customer, go to the Signup page  and choose one of our packages or a free trial account. Choose a username and password, put in your email address and enter the security code. When you click the "Sign Up" button you are agreeing to abide by the Terms of Use and Service and Privacy Policy of our company. For security purposes, you will need to verify your email address before you will be able to use your new video account.
    
2. How can I pay and what kinds of payments do you accept?
   Wou can pay online using Paypal of by using any major credit card such as Visa, Mastercard or American Express. Payments can be made on a monthly basis using a Paypal subscription or you can pay for one whole year at a time.
    
3. Do you have any kind of money-back guarantee?
   We encourage every new customer to try of free trial service to see if our services are right for you. If you are paying by the month, you can cancel your account at any time. If you have paid yearly, you will be refunded for the number of months remaining in your selected video hosting package.
    
4. What if I want to pay for my account using a company cheque?
   All new Tipwize customers must signup using the online payment system for them to become registered in our system database. If you are an existing Tipwize customer with a good credit record you may be able renew your yearly hosting account by sending a business cheque. However, the cheque must be received a minimum of 30 days before your video account expires .

Login and Signup Problems

1. What do if I forget my Username and Password?
   If you lose the information to open your account you can have it sent to you by email. Just click on the Forgot Your Password link and enter your Username. You Username should appear on all emails you received from Tipwize. You password will be transmitted within a few minutes to the email address in our records.
    
2. I got myself a new email address. What do I do?
   Every customer is responsible for ensuring they notify Tipwize if they get a new email address. To change your contact email information, simply login to your account, go to your Customers Profile page and put in your new email.

Video Uploading and Streaming Issues

1. I uploaded a video, the thumbnail does not appear but the video plays. What do I do?
   You may have uploaded a video using a codec that is newer than those running on the video conversion system on the web server. Upload the video a second time and the thumbnail will appear. If the problem persists, contact Technical Support and we will add a thumbnail manually.
    
2. What digital video formats should I upload my video in?
   Use all the popular video formats such as all forms of Microsoft .avi, Quicktime .mov and Realvideo .rm. The best format is ON6 or Sorenson .flv streaming video format. We advise customers to do a test upload using a short clip of video if there are any doubts regarding the video format you are using.
    
3. What codec does your service stream videos in over the Internet?
   The server uses the highest quality FLASH streaming video codec available today, ON6 FLV. However, it will also use the Sorenson codec if necessary. The general rule is, if you upload poor quality video, you will get poor quality playing over the internet.
    
4. How does your web server convert videos?
   Videos are uploaded to a folder where they are automatically batch encoded into FLV format one at a time. This process can take a a few minutes or serveral hours depending on the size of the video and how many videos are ahead of you in the conversion system on the web server.
    
5. What do I need to do to make sure my video presentation is really good quality?
   Free software like Microsoft Moviemaker or Apple iMovie do a good job but professional software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Ulead Mediastudio, Sony Vegas Video get outstanding results.
